Viva Lapu Lapu
My first Cebu Trip and my unforgettable pictorial at the famous butt of Lapu Lapu.
The Lapu-Lapu shrine is a 20-meter bronze statue in Punta Engaño, Mactan Island, Cebu, Philippines, erected in honor of Datu Lapu-Lapu, a native leader who defeated Spanish soldiers and killed Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan in the Battle of Mactan on 1521.(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lapu-Lapu_shrine)

Why I keep coming back to Manila

Metropolitan Manila (Filipino: Kalakhang Maynila , Kamaynilaan), the National Capital Region (NCR) (Filipino: Pambansang Punong Rehiyon), or simply Metro Manila, is the metropolitan region encompassing the City of Manila and its surrounding areas in the Philippines. It is composed of 16 cities namely City of Manila, Caloocan, Las Piñas, Makati, Malabon, Mandaluyong, Marikina, Muntinlupa, Navotas, Pasay, Pasig, Parañaque, Quezon, San Juan, Taguig, Valenzuela and the Municipality of Pateros.
The region is the political, economic, social, cultural, and educational center of the Philippines. As proclaimed by Presidential Decree No. 940, Metro Manila as a whole is the Philippines' seat of government but the City of Manila is the capital. The largest city in the metropolis is Quezon City. I love Guimaras
I love Guimaras1 It's a total package! There's food, beach, retreat, people and best of all it's only Php14 pesos away from my home!
Guimaras ([gima'ɾas]) is an island province of the Philippines located in the Western Visayas region. Among the smallest provinces, its capital is Jordan. The island is located in the Panay Gulf, between the islands of Panay and Negros. To the northwest is the province of Iloilo and to the southeast is Negros Occidental. RACSOS
I was invited to give a two-day Team Building Seminar at RACSOS. Thanks to STI College Iloilo for this wonderful opportunity to meet and get to know new friends and explore the beauty of Iloilo wildlife.
RACSOS Wildlife Resort and Mini-hotel is the only wildlife resort in Western Visayas. It is located along the highway, in Rizal-Tiguisan, Guimbal, Iloilo.The place is a combination of theme park, zoo and resort. Sky Walk Extreme
My first ever Cebu trip gave me several reasons to celebrate. For one, I was able to meet new friends and second I conquered my fear of heights with my Sky Walk Extreme experience!
Located at the 37th floor of the Crown Regency Cebu, the Sky Walk Extreme lets thrill-seekers walk around the edge of the building, incidentally the tallest hotel structure in the Philippines.(http://www.cebu-philippines.net/crown-regency-cebu.html)
Taal Volcano
This picture was taken on our way back to Lipa Batangas. Our family went to Tagaytay for a brief family getaway and a closer look at the world famous Taal Volcano.
Taal Volcano is a complex volcano on the island of Luzon in the Philippines. Historical eruptions are concentrated on Volcano Island, an island near the middle of Lake Taal. The lake partially fills Taal Caldera, which was formed by prehistoric very powerful eruptions. Viewed from Tagaytay Ridge, Taal Volcano and Lake presents one of the most picturesque and attractive views in the Philippines. It is located about 50 km (31 miles) south of the capital of the country, the city of Manila.
The volcano had several violent eruptions in the past causing loss of life in the island and the populated areas surrounding the lake, with the death toll estimated at around 5,000 to 6,000. Because of its proximity to populated areas and its eruptive history, the volcano was designated a Decade Volcano, worthy of close study to prevent future natural disasters. The Basilica de San Martin de Tours
The Basilica de San Martin de Tours in Taal is the largest church in Asia, standing 96 meters long and 45 meters wide. The Augustinian Missionaries started construction in 1575, but it was destroyed when Taal volcano erupted in 1754.Today only the ruins of the walls of the original church is now left standing.It took a century for the church to achieve its present form. The New Iloilo Airport

The province of Iloilo takes pride of the new Iloilo Airport. Situated in the municipalities of Sta Barbara and Cabatuan, the New Iloilo Airport has the following Runway structure:
Iloilo International Airport has one primary 2,500-meter (8,200 ft) runway 45 meters (148 ft) wide. The runway runs at a direction of 02°/20°, the same as Mandurriao Airport. Unlike the runway at Mandurriao, the longer runway at Iloilo International Airport can support aircraft as large as the Airbus A330 and Boeing 767. Runway lights and an Instrument Landing System were installed, making the airport capable of supporting low-visibility and night landings. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iloilo_International_Airport).
